Empowered

On the way home from work yesterday, the song Titanium by David Guetta/Sia was on the radio.  For some reason that song makes me feel so empowered.  And boy, did I need it yesterday.

I guess part of it is the way she sings the chorus so loud and strong, “You shoot me down, but I won’t fall.”

Life’s that way.  We think we are being shot down but really we are being challenged to learn and become spiritually stronger.  As there are no mistakes in life, only lessons.

Remember, like the song says – “You shoot me down, but I get up”.  That’s the important part…not staying down, but getting up again and moving forward, stronger than ever.

Love Life (Be Grateful, Part 2)

Look around and see what’s precious.  Clear your head of all the little things that won’t matter down the line.  You will look back at all the times you cherished most in life so find a reason to make this moment one of them.  Savor something.

It’s your time.  Love life.  Live it well. (And be grateful.)

It’s Never Too Late

Buddha said, “No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.”

It’s never too late to pursue your dream, change your life or do something big.

Like a Tourist

I went out-of-town for a long weekend and came back to an email about living our life like a tourist.  Now you know this really resonated with me.

Just think about it…tourists come to see the good, to enjoy the journey and notice everything the place has to offer.  Tourists are upbeat, excited and happy to be visiting.  Tourists are open, friendly and go with the flow.

Even if you haven’t had a vacation in a while, I’m sure you remember the feeling.  I’m going to try to keep it going.

So let’s all be happy and learn to live life like a tourist.

The Greatest Teacher is Inside Us

The real world doesn’t give us all the answers.  We must find them within.

The universe usually only gives us a small amount of information and the rest we must discover and learn for ourselves.

I have a friend/spiritual teacher that I sometimes ask spiritual questions.  And these can be kind of specific about handling a situation or emotion or feeling.  As I should expect from him, he responds with a very thought-provoking answer, but not a specific answer.  He knows that I must truly find the answer myself.  He can give me clues and talk around the answer but will never give me the answer.

A Chinese proverb says, “Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself.”

I now know what this means.

The greatest teacher is inside me.  I must experience life my way and with my decisions.  I can have guidance with a gentle nudge here or there but I must listen to my inner voice and intuition and follow my path.  Otherwise, I’m not living my life…I’m living someone else’s.

You Can Do It!

We all have that strength inside us, that power and love of ourselves that propels us to bigger and better things and evolve into the best YOU that you can be.

Never doubt your inner voice, your intuition.  Take some quiet time to listen to it.  It leads you to your destiny.

Keep on your path, keep moving forward.  Your dream is within your reach.

You Can Do It!

You Are In Charge of Your Life

Don’t give away the control.  You are the creator.

If things are not happening the way you want, stop looking at others and look inside.  Seek the answers from within.

Finding the answers will unlock doors and reveal your path.
